METHODS: A total 323 patients underwent RARP our hospital from 2014 2019 were included retrospectively analyzed. analyzed membranous urethral length (MUL), puborectalis muscle (PRM) rectourethral (RUM) preoperative postoperative MRI, a one-hour pad test 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 months surgery. maximum closure pressure (MUCP) also measured before surgery measuring (UPP). correlation between postprostatectomy (PPI) various factors regression analysis. RESULTS: PRM cross-sectional area significantly decreased (-19%, p<0.001). rates at 9 40.2%, 63.5%, 73.1%, 74.6% 76.8%, respectively. significant PPI (1,3,6,9,12M) MUL (OR:0.10,0.04,0.07,0.04,0.05, p-value: <0.001, respectively), or change (OR: 2.27, 3.19, 4.60, 2.39, 4.25, <0.01, respectively) observed. observed post-operative cross sectional MUCP (R=0.510, CONCLUSIONS: levator ani is thought be directly indirectly connected RUM. It speculated that RUM work like sling affect continence. Postoperative reduction caused decrease function support as sling, which affected PPI. considered important perform with an awareness reducing damage PRM. Furthermore, can improved novel techniques make new using muscle. Urethral Diverticulum: Unusual Cause of Urinary Incontinence after a Radical Prostatectomy
Urethral diverticulum (UD) is defined as a tubular or sacular dilatation that opens into the urethra [1]. It is rare in men and can be congenital or acquired [2]. Its clinical symptomatology is non-specific. Urethro-cystoscopy or urethro-cystography retrograde and voiding make it possible to establish its diagnosis. We present a case of a DU manifested by urinary incontinence in a patient with ...
متن کاملUrodynamic assessment of bladder and urethral sphincter function before and after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy.
INTRODUCTION Affectation of the bladder after open prostatectomy is demonstrated. Decrease in bladder capacity and bladder compliance, detrusor hyper-or hypo-activity and voiding dysfunction are observed. We propose to investigate the effects of robotic surgery on bladder and sphincter function through the comparative study of preoperative and postoperative urodynamic values 3 months after pros...
متن کاملEvaluating urinary continence and preoperative predictors of urinary continence after robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
PURPOSE We evaluated urinary continence using a validated questionnaire in a series of consecutive patients who underwent robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, and identified the preoperative predictors of the return to urinary continence. MATERIALS AND METHODS The clinical records of 308 consecutive patients who underwent robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for cli...
متن کاملChronological Urodynamic Evaluation of Changing Bladder and Urethral Functions After Robot-assisted Radical Prostatectomy.
OBJECTIVE To examine chronological changes in urethral and bladder functions before, immediately after, and 1 year after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP), urodynamic studies were prospectively performed. METHODS Sixty-three consecutive patients underwent pressure-flow studies, urethral pressure profiles, and abdominal leak point pressure (ALPP) tests 1-2 days before, immediately af...
